Citadelle Gin has a delicate and fragrant nose of fresh flowers, jasmine, honeysuckle and cinnamon. After a few moments, stronger, more herbaceous aromas of anise, grains of paradise and cinnamon develop in a most remarkable way. The appetizing bouquet is reminiscent of gardens in springtime. On the palate, juniper gives way to a voluptuous complexity redolent of fresh flowers, leading into an elegant, round and highly refined finish.

Citadelle – Gin distilled in a small Charentais copper still.  From the standpoint of the legislation, Citadelle is a London gin. However, the method used to produce Citadelle gin is more complex, since in addition to the requirements for London gin the production of Citadelle includes :  the use of a Charentais pot stills with a maximum capacity of 25 hectolitres ...    naked flame distillation (no steam)...    18 botanicals in addition to juniper berries, distilled together in order to obtain Citadelle's distinctive aromatic complexity...    pure gin -- no sugar added

Layered aromas of honeyed juniper, citrus jelly, delicate herb muffin, and root botanicals with silky, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a nicely balanced pepper, chalk, floral honeycomb, and grassy herb driven finish.
