This great-value wine from Spain's prestigious Ribera del Duero region. Biberius is rapidly attracting the admiring attention of wine commentators and was recently picked by Jane Mac Quitty as one of her top 5 red wines for summer under $20. "This fantastic, fat, oaky, 14% alc, intensely fruity tempranillo from the mighty Ribera del Duero, is a Spanish gem. It is a polished tempranillo named after a wine-loving Roman emperor, dubbed Biberius. Beef Carpaccio served with this classy, complex, full-frontal red that is thick with fruit and seasoned with mocha spices would make a simple yet swanky summer treat.

Nice garnet color with purple reflections, typical of its youth. Fresh and clean nose with high intensity of the best Ribera del Duero Tempranillo aromas (red fruit, blackberry) accompanied by a fine vanilla and toffee background. A very pleasant way through the palate, shows soft tannins and a medium body, filling the mouth with fresh red fruit and cocoa memories due to its short stay in oak barrels and a spicy and elegant aftertaste.
