Tempranillo Blanco is a native white variety of DOCa Rioja. It is exclusive to this appellation and is grown in very small quantities. Dinastia Vivanco is pioneering its use with this wine Rioja Blanco. Like many of the Old World's most traditional white wines,it is not ideal as a cocktail but one that seems to exist for food. When you add foods--fish, shellfish, even grilled fowl--the wine blossoms and displays its lemon, pear, and melon notes, along with a touch of dried pineapple.This is a great bottle of wine for $13.
