Winemaker's Notes: The 2007 Amici Cellars Pinot Noir comes from a hidden jewel of a vineyard, located in the coastal mountain range high above the town of Mendocino. The wine is a blend of three clones: Pommard, Dijon #115 and a splash of Dijon #777. The wine was fermented in small lots and hand-punched six times daily.
This wine is dark ruby in color and exhibits a classic bouquet of dark cherries, violets and forest floor. Expansive, rich layered flavors of ripe black cherry and blackberry intertwine with a hint of spice to provide a complex and lush wine with a long finish. The 2007 Amici Pinot Noir drinks beautifully now, but will age for 5-8 years.
