The name Colterris is derived by combining a three word abbreviation for Colorado Col with the Latin word terris meaning from the land. Cabernet Sauvignon is a late ripening grape, making it a challenge to grow in Colorado, but this estate does a very good job. A bold rich wine with classic Cabernet flavors of dark fruit and cassis, and smooth silky tannins, this is an easy drinking Cab. Great with roasted and braised red meats.
