Domaine Saint Lannes
Cotes de Gascogne

The Domaine Saint Lannes Cotes de Gascogne is a blend of Colombard and Gros-Manseng. The start of the season was warm and dry, causing the vines to develop quickly while forcing the roots to penetrate deeply in search of nutrition. July and early August saw cooler temperatures and needed rainfall. From August through mid-September, dry and sunny days and cool nights assured steady ripening and remarkable concentration of flavors and aromas. 

Although the vintage started early, harvest took place in the usual period, starting in mid-September, under perfect conditions. This meant that the grapes benefitted from extended ripening, giving the 2011 Domaine Saint Lannes Cotes de Gascogne superb vinosity, energetic, expressive citrus and tropical fruit flavors, and exceptional minerally length. The cool August allowed the grapes to ripen slowly, and September was sunny and warm, bringing to grapes to optimal maturity with an ideal balance of fruity acidity.
