A blend of 90% old vine Carignan (some date back almost 100 years) with 10% Syrah. This is a bold, bright wine with clean flavors of cherries, spice and plums. This is a knock your socks of $11 bottle of wine with plenty of structure to go with the fruit. The wine is noteworthy for the label alone, a celestial map of the night sky. The name, Les Heretiques, is an homage to the Cathars, a pacifist Christian group that were massacred in Minervois in 1208.
